RESEARCH SCIENTIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in South San Francisco, CA.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Understanding of basic B and T cell immunology understanding of basic B and T cell immunology
- Experience with in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Immunoprofiling Group within Biologics Research seeks a scientist to investigate the mechanisms that contribute to the immunogenicity of biotherapeutics.
- The ideal applicant should have a solid understanding of basic B and T cell immunology with familiarity on patient immune response to coagulation factors.
- Assist in the implementation of study plans evaluating the mechanisms that contribute to the immunogenic response to recombinant coagulation factors.
- Develop and perform immune based assays that measure T and B cell responses ex-vivo
- Develop and perform biochemical assays characterizing antibody and complement activity against the biologic.
- Perform assays measuring coagulation activity of purified recombinant proteins and specimens collected from in vivo/ex vivo studies.
- Provide support in coordinating external research activities conducted by academic labs and CROs.
- Ensure timely progress of contracted work by collecting and reviewing data periodically from external labs.
- Provide regular updates to project teams and management.
- Assist in drafting study reports for internal submission.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Strong academic and/or industry experience with in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo immunology.
- Specific experience studying immunogenic response to coagulation factor VIII a major plus.
- Familiarity with hematological diseases such as hemophilia A and B a plus.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- PhD degree in the field of immunology, cellular biology or a closely related field.
