Research Engineer

Engineering Analyst needed to conduct research and analysis on a vast range of emerging technologies for a major utility. The research, proof of concepts projects, and presentations on innovative energy technologies will be focused primarily on renewable energy, energy efficiency, and grid optimization. This is a great opportunity working with cutting edge innovative energy technologies. Position is a long term Contract position based in Colorado.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Contributes to departmental and corporate strategic and operational goals related to emerging renewable energy, energy efficiency, and grid optimization technologies by working with management, customers, vendors and other stakeholders to research, design, analyze, and integrate strategic technologies into the business.

REQUIREMENTS

- Requires BS Technical, Science or Engineering and business or related experience applying energy engineering and technology to business processes
- Must have a strong understanding of operations, Utility experience preferred, and possess the capacity to apply this experience to theoretical applications.
- Seeking candidates with proven experience planning, directing, managing and monitoring projects, resources, and programs effectively, especially emerging technologies such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, and grid optimization.
- Develops proof-of-concept projects including field testing locations, parameters, technologies, and resulting measurements
- Analyzes the results of proof-of-concept testing including technical results and financial results
