Research & Development Engineer I

Over the past few years my client has enjoyed a huge period of success and growth and is currently looking to add strength to its manufacturing capabilities by hiring a talented R&D Engineer.

The role will be wide ranging in its scope, encompassing the following responsibilities:

* Assist in developing customer and product specifications
* Develop test plans and protocols
* Build prototypes, perform testing, and analyze results
* Maintain required documentation and write technical reports
* Prepare engineering drawings with specifications and tolerances
* Transfer technology to process development and manufacturing engineering
* Assist in preparing timelines, cost analyses, and resource needs
* Perform job functions in accordance with applicable GMP and ISO standards
* Assist in developing manufacturing and inspection procedures
* Assist in developing Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analyses
* Identify suppliers and procure components and services
* Participate in design reviews

Candidates for this opportunity must have the following skills and experience:

* BS degree in an engineering field or related with 0 - 3 years' experience
* Proven skills in device design and project completion
* Medical interventional device development experience is desired
* Computer skills to include spreadsheets and word processing
* Working knowledge of GMP and ISO regulations
* Good verbal and written communication skills
