Research Computing Platform Project Manager (RCP PM)

JOB PURPOSE
The Research Computing Platform (RCP) group provides/organizes all necessary NIBR Informatics infrastructure services needed to support all Research departments. Services are provided by RCP resources or in collaboration with other IT departments.
The RCP team has many tactical and strategic projects active at any given point in time. In an effort to manage and track these projects in a consistent manner we are in search of a senior project manager. The project manager will work towards organizing and tracking the RCP portfolio of projects. On larger projects the project manager will take more of a hands-on project manager role and manage the project per the NIBR Project Management standards (NOX).
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
-years' experience in project management
- Experience with managing a number of projects (of various scale) concurrently
- Recognised Project Management qualifications such as PMP
DESIRABLE EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Flexibility to work with and adapt to a wide range of personalities, work styles, and communication styles
- Excellent facilitator
- Experience working on projects that required regulatory and compliance approval
- Experience in a Pharmaceutical environment
Work location: Basel
Start: 15.09.14to 15.03.2015
Duration: for 6 months + option to extend the engagement
Permits required: EU citizen or valid work permit
Workload: ca. 85%
