We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic, enthusiastic and ambitious Database Administrator (DBA)/SQL Developer, to play an essential role supporting research at the NIHR Mental Health Biomedical Research (BRC) Centre and Dementia Unit at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) and the Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College London.

You will be part of the SLaM technical infrastructure team, which monitors and maintains a number of business critical database systems, including the innovative Clinical Records Interactive Search (CRIS) system. Developed by the NIHR Mental Health BRC, CRIS provides access to complex clinical data for leading academic research. The Research Centre DBA/SQL Developer will work predominantly with the CRIS system, liaising with System Architects and world leading academic Clinicians and Researchers associated with the NIHR Mental Health BRC and Dementia Unit.

This role will involve a combination of activities including all implementation, configuration, support and maintenance activities for CRIS, as well as supporting time critical system wide upgrades, interface management of multiple inbound and outbound data streams and a rapidly expanding SQL development program.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Criminal Records Bureau to check for any previous criminal convictions.
