Research Associate Job

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Demonstrated strong technical skills in basic cell biology techniques are essential.
- Basic molecular biology skills
- Must be able to plan and execute experiments independently
- Ability to interpret results is required
- Excellent organization skills is a must
- Good interpersonal skills

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Develop and perform cell and tissue-based experiments
- Prepare protein and RNA using standard techniques
- Maintain multiple cell lines
- Participate in clinical assay validations
- Characterize cell signalling pathways
- Manage time efficiently based on laboratory priorities
- Work on several projects at once
- Plan and execute experiments independently
- Interpret and present results
- Participate actively in team activities

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor or higher degree in life sciences, major in biochemistry, cell biology or molecular biology preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience and training in a research laboratory
- Demonstrated strong technical skills in basic cell biology techniques are essential.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Background in cancer research is a plus
