RESEARCH ASSOCIATE needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in South San Francisco, CA

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Small Molecule Pharmaceutical Sciences (SMPS) department within Research & Development (gRED) is seeking a highly-motivated, proactive, results-oriented, well-organized and scientifically passionate individual to assist in the sourcing activities to support our fast moving small molecule drug development programs.
- Support drug candidate development by outsourcing proper projects: Manufacture of regulatory starting materials, API intermediates and APIs by aligning CMOs with the project's technical needs
- Sourcing for commercial available materials to support process development
- Formulation development of small molecule candidates via DoE studies
- Analytical development and stability studies for various programs spanning from late stage research to Phase II
- Collaborate with the legal dept. and contract group in obtaining CDAs, service agreement and service contracts with third party vendors (CMOs)
- Manage CMO performance by providing regular feedback Obtain quotes, negotiate prices, select CMOs, issue POs and track all project deliverables in the monthly tracker and the year to date spending
- Provide project management support to all outsourced projects, includes setting up and conducting regular TCs with CMOs and Facilitate and assist with shipping logistics by working with CMOs.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- The selected candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter working with a sense of urgency and amicably with the project teams to facilitate new candidate development.
- A MS or PhD degree in organic chemistry and practical experience in organic synthesis are required.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Familiarities with, MS word, excel, Powerpoint and chem draw are a must.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
