RESEARCH ASSOCIATE needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work in a high throughput Embryonic Stem Cell Lab within the Molecular Biology Department.
- The successful candidate should be a team player and have excellent time management and record keeping skills.
- The individual will spend ~85% of the time performing lab work such as PCR screening and Taqman, making feeder cells.
- The other 15% will include data management, maintaining the lab organized ordering supplies.
- The ideal candidate will be familiar with cell culture and be knowledgeable in proper sterile technique.
- The candidate must have extensive Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) knowledge and experience.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Able to work well independently as well as within a group setting in a fast-paced multi-faceted environment.
- This is a 9am-6pm position (with 1 hr lunch) and requires flexibility to work on weekends.
- This team should be open to working one day in the weekend
- Experience with Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is required and experience with cell culture and Taqman are a significant plus.
- The successful candidate will have proven technical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as exceptional time management skills.
- PCR and taqman skill required cell culture is a plus

- BA/BS/MS or equivalent experience
