SENIOR RESEARCH ASSOCIATE needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in South San Francisco, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE:

We have an opening for a talented Research Associate/Senior Research Associate (temporary position) to join the Translational Oncology Department in our In Vivo Pharmacology Division.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Six (6+) years experience in single cell

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, validating and executing flow cyometric assays for characterization of murine tumors in our South San Francisco location.
- The individual will serve as a technical expert in all aspects of our flow cytometry studies including antibody selection and titration, panel design, tissue processing and staining, data acquisition and analysis.
- A strong emphasis is placed on individuals with experience in high dimensional panel design, acquisition, and analysis (minimum of ten color assays) including surface staining, restimulation/activation followed by assessment of intracullarly signalling and/or cytokine production.
- The applicant will provide flow cytometry support for a variety of oncology programs.
- Close collaboration with multiple teams is required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- A B.S. or M.S. in Cell Biology, Immunology, or a related field is required, with at least six (6+) years experience in single cell quantification and characterization of ex-vivo tissues by flow cytometry is required.
- The candidate is required to have experience in multi-color panel optimization, acquisition of data using DIVA software on BD cytometers and analysis using FlowJo.
- Experience with Cytof is desired but not required.
- Strong teamwork, organizational skills, and oral communication skills are essential

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- A B.S. or M.S. in Cell Biology or Immunology is required. PhD strongly preferred.
- Candidates with experience using additional analysis software are preferred.
