RESEARCH ASSOCIATE needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in South San Francisco, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The department of Molecular Biology seeks a talented Research Associate/Senior Research Associate (RA/SRA) with a strong background in animal handling to join a group with diverse interests and responsibilities.
- The position supports the development, characterization and application of genetically engineered models of cancer.
- The successful candidate will aid the downstream application and analysis of these models in preclinical studies facilitating internal drug development.
- This work will encompass a broad array of technologies and will require networking, teamwork, and the ability to work independently to achieve success.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelors degree or higher in related science field, or extensive relevant animal work experience
- Documented record of professional achievement as well as demonstrated proficiency in small animal handling (mouse and rat), dosing and care is required.
- In addition, small animal surgery and necropsy experience is needed.
- Strong inter-personal skills are required, as are excellent verbal, written and presentation abilities.
- The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate scientific rigor and a willingness to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team of scientists.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Candidates in solid command of molecular biology skills such as, cloning, PCR, Western blot, quantitative RT-PCR will be preferred.
- In vivo experience in the immunology field or oncology training is a plus.
