RESEARCH ASSISTANT needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in South San Francisco, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Principle responsibilities to support the in vivo oncology group entail performing sterile in vivo techniques, animal care, collecting data, as well as, administering test compounds.
- Principle responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining xenograft models.
- Attention to detail is the most critical attribute for this position.
- Additional responsibilities for this position focus on maintaining data, performing anesthetic procedures, maintaining lab cleanliness, and appropriately working with biohazardous and chemical materials.
- Also, must be able to work weekend days as necessary.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- AA, BA, or BS in Biology or other related field is ideal
- Experience with in vivo research.
- Excellent skills in communication, organization, flexibility and an eagerness to learn are essential.
- Must work well solo or in a team setting and have a strong work ethic.
- Candidate is expected to be proficient in basic rodent in vivo handling and dosing techniques.
- Computer proficiency, especially knowledge of Excel, and a basic knowledge of databases are necessary.
- Must be capable of standing, lifting, kneeling, bending, etc., for extended periods of time.
- Must be willing to work with potentially hazardous materials and be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
