Research Associate Job

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in South San Francisco, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The work involves all aspects of vector construction
- Support the production of gene targeting vectors for modification of mouse ES cells and perform other tasks relevant to technology development in the area of genome engineering.
- The work involves all aspects of vector construction, including recombineering, plasmid preparation, BAC DNA preparation, PCR, DNA cloning, TOPO cloning, agarose gel electrophoresis, and DNA sequencing.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal skills, team oriented, dependable, and self-starter.
- Strong molecular biology skills are a must and experience with DNA analysis software (in particular Vector NTI) is a significant is a plus.
- Must be self-motivated, able to multi-task, and meet timelines efficiently and productively.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- BA/BS/MS or equivalent experience
