RESEARCH ASSOCIATE needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Francisco, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Performs research in Preclinical Development efforts in collaboration with others for various projects.
- The types of experiments include but not limit to conducting in vivo Pharmacokinetic and tissue distribution studies.
- The position requires hands-on experience and skills in the planning, preparing, and execution of PK studies such as protocol generation, preparation of dosing vehicles, dosing (IV, SC, PO and IP), blood draws and separation of plasma, urine collection and record keeping.
- Exercises technical discretion in the design, execution and interpretation of experiments that contribute to project strategies.
- Independently executes technical experiments following appropriate laboratory/technical procedures.
- Produces competent, reproducible results to a high technical standard.
- Makes and records complex detailed observations.
- Collects and analyzes complex data to prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and/or quantitative analyses.
- Maintains accurate and well-organized laboratory records.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- In vivo laboratory skills.
- Knowledge of pharmacokinetic principles
- In vivo surgical skills are a plus
- Must be able to demonstrate good decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding problem solving skills, troubleshooting skills and organization skills
- Both effective team player and strong individual contributor, flexible, and able to handle multiple tasks and deliver high quality results under tight timelines
- Must be able to demonstrate sound judgment within broadly defined practices and policies

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Strong organizational skills are required.
- Good computer skills are required.
- Working knowledge of MS word, Excel, Powerpoint and GraphPad Prism is a plus.
- Experience working in an AAALAC accredited facility is highly desired.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and well in a team environment, and demonstrate leadership abilities.
- Must be able to provide technical assistance to others in a wide range of laboratory based activities/techniques.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline is required.
- Equivalent experience may be accepted.
- BS or MS in Biology plus at least one to two (1 - 2) years of industry experience
