Opportunity: Join a dynamic, growing biotechnology company in Westchester County, NY, just outside of Manhattan. We are dedicated to the development of biological drugs for the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases.
You will be part of a team to develop and characterize monoclonal antibodies as therapeutics against infectious disease. You will express antibodies and recombinant proteins using mammalian and bacterial-based systems. You will screen candidate therapeutic molecules in animal models.
Work Description: You will support ContraFect's antibody discovery efforts. You should be skilled in:
•Immunology with experience in the biochemical characterization of monoclonal antibodies
•Animal models of disease
•Molecular biology (experience in protein engineering and mutagenesis techniques are a plus)
•Tissue culture experience (transfection, protein expression)
•Microbiology (the growth and characterization of viruses in vitro)
