Research Associate III Job

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE III needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Carlos, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Support phase 3 clinical readiness and aerosol/device characterization for an inhalation product.
- Functions as a team resource able to perform a variety of laboratory based tasks.
- Knowledge of programming using data acquisition software a plus

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Propose study design and draft a study protocol, which may involve multiple-factors and use several analytical techniques.
- Under minimal guidance, executes on technical experiments following appropriate laboratory/technical procedures.
- Makes detailed observations and analyzes data to provide an interpretation of results, ability to identify trends, and perform basic statistics.
- Investigates, troubleshoots, creates and develops methods, experiments and/or technologies for project advancement.
- May act as principal investigator in conducting own experiments.
- Maintains compliance to company Environmental Health and Safety policies, procedures and practices.
- Produce competent, reproducible results to a high technical standard; will prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and/or quantitative analyses.
- Apply scientific principles, concepts and wide range of bench or instrumental procedures to solve advanced technical problems.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- A minimum of five (5) years work experience in a research and/or development environment is required.
- Knowledge in liquid inhalation product is highly desired, but not required.
- Must have excellent analytical skills, with significant hands-on laboratory experience
- Must have a demonstrated working knowledge of scientific principles
- Must be able to demonstrate good decision-making skills.
- Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to independently write reports.
- Must demonstrate sound judgment within broadly defined practices and policies.
- Must have demonstrated problem solving abilities.
- Strong organizational skills are required.
- Good computer skills are required. Working knowledge of MS word, Excel, Powerpoint is a plus.
- Experience working in an FDA regulated environment is highly desired
- Must be willing to work as part of a team and demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to provide technical assistance to others in a wide range of laboratory based activities.
- Experience with aerosol and device design interface to support pre-clinical work is a plus

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- A minimum of a Bachelors degree in a scientific discipline is required.
- Preferably someone with an engineering background!
