RESEARCH ASSOCIATE I needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Thousand Oaks, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Will involve designing and conducting pre-formulation characterization
- In-vivo studies and solid-state characterization
- Collecting and analysing data

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The position will involve designing and conducting pre-formulation characterization of small molecules, development of formulations to support toxicology, pharmacokinetic and other in-vivo studies and solid-state characterization for salt and polymorph selection of clinical candidates.
- Additionally responsibilities will include planning and performing laboratory experiments, collecting and analysing data, maintaining laboratory notebooks, and presenting data in group, department and various team meetings.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS in Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, or Life Sciences and laboratory experience in a scientific field is required.
- Experience in basic physico-chemical and pharmaceutics principles are essential

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- HPLC, physico-chemical evaluation (solubility, stability, pKa determination, lipophilicity, etc.) and solid-state characterization skills (DSC, TGA, XRPD, microscopy, moisture sorption, etc.).
- Good computer, verbal and written communication skills.
