Research Associate I Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a RESEARCH ASSOCIATE I to join our client in Hayward, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support the Research team with running experiments in collaboration with others.
- Contribute to project goals by assisting with the design, execution, and analysis of experiments.
- Independently run assays and instrumentation related to Illumina's sequencing technology including sample preparation, cluster generation, and sequencing.
- Perform routine experimental procedures using standard laboratory equipment including Bioanalyzer, PCR, qPCR, and gel electrophoresis.
- Culture and provide cell lines for experimental analysis.
- Experience with immunoflouresence microscopy.
- Conduct predefined analyses using simple Excel functions and graphing procedures.
- Write experimental summaries and prepare technical presentations for updating supervisor and other team members as appropriate.
- Provide verbal progress reports in both formal and informal settings
- Maintain a laboratory notebook.
- Ordering of all supplies needed to keep lab running.
- Maintaining lab organization.
