Research Associate - Chemistry Job

A SENIOR RESEARCH ASSOCIATE is needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Framingham, MA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Carry out experiments, perform analyses and interpret mass spectrometry and other analytical data to characterize proteins
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate analytical work for multiple projects and will prepare written reports as well as present findings at team meetings
- Responsible for the execution and analysis of experiments and analytical procedures
- Investigate basic technical problems and performs routine scientific procedures and experiments under general supervision

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Degree in Biology, Biochemistry or Chemistry plus three (3+) years of experience
- Experience in working with small quantities of samples, using Q-TOF and Orbitrap mass spectrometers, nanoLC and UPLC systems
- A working knowledge of protein purification and protein expression systems, experience in epitope mapping by HDX-MS, and identification of unknown bands in SDS-PAGE by in-gel digestion
