Research Associate

SUMMARY

- The Research Associate helps develop and execute the Global Product Strategy with Asset Team(s), and collaborates with Therapy Area Leaders, Medical Directors, and Asset Team Leaders to develop and implement a health outcomes research plan that is aligned with product strategy and value proposition.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Collaborate with team members to develop and execute the Global Outcomes Research Product Strategy to support Vaccines' Value Proposition
- Conduct research on morbidity, mortality, and economic impact of vaccine preventable diseases globally
- Contribute to the development of comprehensive global tools such as dossiers, health economic models, publications, etc. to support optimal pricing and market access
- Update Global Value Dossier and AMCP dossiers for assigned product(s)
- Work with the assigned product cost-effectiveness model(s), collaborate with country level health and value colleagues in the adaptation and utilization of the model(s) to communicate the public health impact and cost-effectiveness of vaccine programs
- Contribute to the development and adaptation of health economic models to support candidate vaccines, contribute to clinical trial designs with outcomes research components, lead conduct of epidemiologic in accord with the product strategy.
- Assess and interpret relevant literature, communicate to internal stakeholders
- Manage and participate in study design of contracted research projects (budget negotiations, quality assurance of work conducted by CROs).
- Participate as an active member of assigned product asset teams and sub-teams
- Participate in key cross-divisional task forces to help improve processes, standards in OR research programs

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS

- Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, PharmD, ScD) or MSc/MPH in health services research epidemiology, public health or significant work experience in health services research, epidemiology, public health, or health economics strongly desired. 2 years of relevant experience desired.
- Working knowledge of methodological approaches and tools (study design, data analysis and interpretation) in health services research is required.
- Working knowledge of the technical and methodological aspects of registries and observational study design and implementation.
- Capable of managing complex prospective and retrospective non-interventional study projects
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills required.
- Fresh PhDs or Masters are acceptable. 0 to 5 years of experience.
