Research Assistant (Chemistry) Job

RESEARCH ASSISTANT (CHEMISTRY) needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in South San Francisco, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Maintain a neat working environment in laboratory work areas
- Archive samples returned from the testing groups for future additional research
- A temp position as Associate Biosample Support Coordinator in the Non-Clinical Sample Management group in BioAnalytical Sciences.
- The candidate will be working as a part of a team that focuses on the following:
- Follow GLP compliant processes for sample accessioning, sample tracking, and sample distribution
- Distribute study supplies to study sites on request
- Process samples received in the BioAnalytical Sciences Sample Management group including manual data entry into Electronic Sample Tracking System (ESTS), cataloging and barcoding of biological samples for identification or de-identification purposes
- Provide transport of samples to testing groups as well as maintain relationships with Sample Transport services for remote sample requests
- Understand the requirements of biological sample storage in order to maintain integrity of biological sample storage systems

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Understand the requirements of biological sample handling in order to maintain integrity of biological samples
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Team Oriented, dependable, self starter.
- Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instruction.
- Must be self-motivated, able to multi-task, and meet timelines efficiently and productively.
- Strong verbal communication, writing, and listening skills, as well as interpersonal skills required.
- GLP knowledge a plus.
- High School graduate or equivalent experience
