Research Assistant

I have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an Epidemiologist/public health researcher to join a global resarch centre as a Research Assistant/Research Fellow to work on several projects. Locations vary from North East to South East England.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide research support to many aspects of these projects including the development of the interventions, the design of the randomized control trials and other evaluation methodologies, and the analysis and dissemination of both data arising from the project. They will also support other areas of the work within epidemiology including helping in co-ordinating the centre. The appointment will be based in the Faculty of Epidemiology and Population Health.

Ideal applicants will have a postgraduate degree in a related discipline (for example epidemiology, public health or clinical trials), with experience of conducting research, a broad understanding of public health, and have excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Research experience in qualitative research methods and/or statistics would be an advantage.
