Research and Development Technician (Coatings) Job

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT TECHNICIAN needed for a LONG TERM CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Wilmington, DE.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- At Least five (5) plus years of experience in the laboratory with chemical synthesis.
- Demonstrated ability to work well individually and on a team.
- Experience in architectural and/or industrial coatings.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary chemistry and product development team aimed at the development of inorganic pigments and coatings.
- Help prepare, develop, evaluate and characterize coatings, dispersions, and compounds.
- Manage and maintain laboratories and equipment, including writing SOPs, cleaning and developing cleaning procedures, and safety documentation.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Experienced in laboratory work involving chemical synthesis.
- Experienced in architectural and industrial coatings.
- Good interpersonal, verbal and writing skills.
- Accurately follow procedures to run experiments and record data.
- Ability to work in a team environment.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
