For a project at our banking client site in Zurich we are looking for a senior
REQUIREMENTS ENGINEER - PLATFORM RE-ENGINEERING (3200)
The project is within Operations IT and the Requirements Engineer is in charge of understanding the business process, OTC flows, documenting the data requirements and with this work enhancing and re-engineering the strategic platform, which is in charge of delivering cross functional operation functions.
The role in brief:
- Responsible for the overall definition and analysis of business requirements and the delivery of functional specifications for the globally shared component "Settlement Obligation Handler/Settlement Obligation Store" based on business requirements of all global stakeholders and users of this platform
- Develop functional specifications and use cases definitions along business needs and requirements, manage & contribute to user workshops on an international level
- Liaise with the global development team (both onsite and offshore) and support the ability of timely delivery of the software components
- Manage requirements life cycle leveraging the bank's standard tools (JIRA)
- Assist in designing test strategy, test plans and test cases from a functional perspective
To qualify for this role you will need:
- Experience as a Senior Business Analyst and Requirements Engineer focused on proprietary system development
- Ability to pro-actively interact with other Business Engineers, Data Modellers and Business Users to understand and design technical solutions based on user requirements and offer recommendations/alternatives
- Thorough understanding of development process including familiarity with procedural and Object Oriented development models and competent with writing own SQL queries
- MOST IMPORTANT: OPERATIONS IT EXPERIENCE AND EXCELLENT UNDERSTANDING OF BUSINESS PROCESSES WITHIN OPERATIONS AND RELATED BANK APPLICATIONS, KEY AREAS ARE CASH SETTLEMENT FLOWS & CASH RECORD, SECURITY SETTLEMENT FLOWS AND STOCK RECORD, SETTLEMENT OBLIGATIONS, PAYMENTS, TRADE ORDER MANAGEMENT, GENERAL LEDGER/SUB LEDGERS
