Requirements Engineer (Aerospace/Aircraft)

JOB TITLE: REQUIREMENTS ENGINEER

LOCATION: BRISTOL

RATE: £360 PER DAY

CONTRACT: 3 TO 4 MONTHS (WITH POSSIBLE EXTENSION)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Management of engineering and airworthiness aspects of the operation and maintenance of the Watchkeeper UAS. Provision of Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Engineering advice to the EA and TAA. Liaise with industry partners on Watch keeper technical matters.
- Oversight of configuration management of the equipment that comprises the domain.
- Oversight of configuration management of the Watchkeeper publications set to ensure currency and completeness for the area of responsibility.
- Through-life management of modifications and the provision of advice to stakeholders.
- Drafting and providing through-life management of Technical Instructions.
- Management of technical issues and taking appropriate action to address fault reports (Mod Form 760), incidents and accidents.
- Management of Propulsion integrity, including maintenance and repair policy, and attendance and contribution to the PIWG.To develop and improve the Watch keeper engineering processes in order to obtain better VFM.
- Management of Watchkeeper Maintenance Documentation (MOD Form 700) policy.
- Assist in the management of GOLDesp to ensure all appropriate lifing and maintenance activity is included.
- Co-ordinate the management of Fault Reporting using the F760 process IAW the UAST local instruction and MAA MRP. Co-ordinate the management of Unsatisfactory Feature Reports using the F765/F765X process IAW the MAA MRP.
- Develop, contribute to, and maintain Local Instructions for area of work, as required.
- Attendance at technical meetings as required by EA or PE.
- Provision of RTS advice and support as required.
- Technical support to WK PM as requested.
- Investigate and make recommendations (in area of work) on Concessions for approval by Eng1.
- Monitor the WK EA Mailbox and respond accordingly.

ESSENTIAL:

- Previous proportion/Mechanical experience within Air Project Team.
