For our client based in Zürich City we are looking for a senior

Requirement Engineer//Business Analyst

Start date: ASAP
End date: 30.04.14
Location: Zürich
Language: German a must with English

Description of the output:
Become member of an existing team and support to replace two Legacy applications in the securities operations area with a new data warehouse solution.
Deliver requirements specification for new securities reporting and participate in development of data model.

Description of the tasks:
* Join the other requirement engineers and data analyst in performing the following tasks:
* Develop and enhance the existing conceptual data model/application Business Object Model (BOM).
* Specify data attributes from a business and from a technical perspective in close collaboration with business and IT subject matter experts.
* Evaluate existing data warehouse sources and identify required data elements (data analysis).
* Create end-to-end specifications, ie source-to-target from database to database.
* Define business rules for computed items and complex transformations.

Must skills:
* Experience in a similar role as requirements engineer/business analyst/data analyst/data architect
* Strong banking know-how, especially in the securities area
* Data analysis skills (eg SQL)
* Strong analytical problem solving skills
* Fluent written and spoken English
* Fluent written and spoken German (as some databases are documented in German)

Advantageous skills:
* Experience in data warehouse/Business Intelligence environment is a plus
* Experience in ETL tools is a plus
* Experience in Reporting/BI Tools (Business Objects) is a plus
* Degree level qualification in computing
