ROLE - Basel 3 Reporting Analyst

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

Financial Control is responsible for the preparation of statutory, regulatory, tax and management reports. It ensures integrity of financial information by implementing and monitoring appropriate controls throughout the organisation.

The Regulatory Reporting Team is part of Financial Control and has responsibility for:

- Production of internal and external capital adequacy reporting.
- Production of internal and external economic capital reporting
- Provide strategic support to capital optimisation initiatives and projects delivering defined target operating architecture. 
- To support regional addition, a primary role is to collaborate with the businesses we support to develop innovative ways of adding shareholder value. This is achieved by striving to execute in a consistent and timely manner, and by implementing best practices globally across the division.

The Regulatory Reporting team is tasked with the following responsibilities:

- The implementation of Basel 3 as a BAU production process.
- Production of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual management and prudential regulatory reporting information along with associated commentaries
- Production of capital adequacy, large exposures (FSA008 and FSA018) returns to the FSA
- Production of internal management reports to the business areas in support of capital optimisation initiatives.
- Ensuring the appropriate control framework is in place to deliver accurate and timely external and internal reporting information,
- Support the financial control change management team to deliver defined target operating architecture. 

MAIN FUNCTION

The Reporting team is responsible for: 

- The preparation and presentation of the Basel 2 numbers, including returns such as: FSA003, FSA004, FSA005 and FSA045 on a monthly/quarterly basis.
- The preparation and presentation of monthly Basel 3 impact assessments as part of the parallel run.
- Preparation of other ad-hoc information.

MAIN DUTIES

- Preparation and consolidation of capital adequacy reporting under Basel 3 and the supporting packs to facilitate senior management review.
- Responding to ad hoc queries from internal stakeholders, ensuring a swift response and compliance with the internal policy around the distribution of sensitive data.
- Liaising with other areas of the business globally including Treasury, Product Control, IT, Statutory Reporting, Operations and Regulatory and Treasury teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of reporting.
- To consistently meet reporting deadlines and to deliver against overall targets.
