OUTSTANDING ROLE WITH A LEADING TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS COMPANY IN MARIETTA.

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage milestones, deadlines and scheduling for multiple simultaneous projects, keeping the team up to date with progress and decisions (reporting).
- Manages process to complete project execution strategies, project plans, project team staffing, and project communication deliverables (release updates, status updates, issues and action logs).
- Participate in prioritization of all Corporate Application initiatives and manages Accounting/Finance and HR releases
- Work with Corporate Applications/IT leads to schedule initiatives and manage release schedules
- Ensure release communication (scope, requirements, and release schedules) are maintained and delivered to the appropriate business owners. Actively manage any changes to releases including broad communication of any changes.
- Work with development and testing teams toward completion of agreed upon scope in regularly scheduled releases.

- Work closely with the Corporate Applications team and development staff throughout the development life cycle to resolve any release scope changes using a formal change management process
- Meet with internal business owners to gather, analyze, and develop business priorities.
- Participates in eliciting and defining business and system requirements
- Develop on-going solutions to improve quality, cycle time, and efficiency of IT development and/or release efforts
- Develop formal feedback mechanisms including but not limited to Release Scorecards that would provide subjective and objective feedback regarding business input on requirements, systems analysis of business requirements, development, unit/system/user acceptance testing, and deployment of changes into production.
- Work closely with operational trainers to ensure operational resources are prepared for changes to operational systems

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

- Demonstrated strong project management/coordination/organization skills
- Ability to manage cross-functional projects
- Three to Five years experience managing or developing in an Oracle Financials environment
- Three to Five years project management experience
- Five+ years of industry experience; prefer Oracle and/or Accounting/HR experience
- Solid understanding of accounting principal
- One to Two years hands on experience with SQL, Oracle Discover, or other reporting tools.
- Seven+ years of software development experience
- In-depth knowledge of the entire application development life cycle, including gathering and clearly understanding business systems requirements, documentation, application development coding, unit and system testing, change control, and ongoing maintenance of complicated application systems
- Strong analytical, problem solving, decision-making and leadership skills are essential; works under minimum direction and uses independent judgment in decision-making

DESIRED BUT NOT NECESSARY

- Formal software development methodology experience
- MS Project experience
