REPORTING ACCOUNTANT/EXTERNAL AUDITOR/ACCA OR ACA

Tangent are looking for Reporting Accountants to work for an international Telecommunications and Media company.

MAIN EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

- Qualified ACA - 0-2 years post qualified (could be qualified ACCA as long as practice experience)
- Practice experience - 3 year minimum (this is the normal course of a training contract for an accountant).
- 3 years of external audit as well as preparation of statutory financial statements if possible. Experience of preparing and reviewing journals and reconciliations.
- Varied experience of auditing businesses from small to large preferred (ie a good mix of experience)
- Ideal candidate would be an ACA with top 20 accountancy firm.
- We are looking for someone who has had 3 years experience in an audit firm

because it is often in that third year you get the most valuable experience

JOB PURPOSE

This key role is responsible for the drawing together the group financial position for monthly management accounts and for statutory accounts, as well as dealing with treasury.

It will:

- Ensure best financial practice and completeness of the consolidated group accounts.
- Support in the provision of information into the management accounts.
- Maintain the 90 day cash forecast.
- Handle treasury aspects and manage bank accounts.
- Deal with various ad hoc and routine tasks requiring central control e,g, accommodation forecasts and accruals.
- Prepare group VAT returns and ensure timely filing.

REPORTING LINES AND KEY RELATIONSHIPS

This role reports to the Group Finance Manager and is a key member of the Finance Team. The role will also work closely with the Finance Director and the area finance teams and subsidiaries.

The role will drive the accurate reporting and consolidation of group numbers.
