Projektbeschreibung
Our client is a Global Technology Company with operations across Ireland. They are currently seeking experienced REPORT DEVELOPER to join their team on a contract basis. The Report Developer is responsible for the design, construction, test and implementation of metadata objects related to project reporting deliverables.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate Reporting Domain Design documents
- Augment technical specifications
- Request and conduct a metasphere advisory review for new reporting domains
- Construct reporting artifacts (reporting domains, standard reports, data extracts, and custom datasets) for the Enterprise Datawarehouse (EDW) and test same
- Implement reporting artifacts with moves to integration and to production effectively
- Interact with business users of the data from the EDW
SKILLS
- Must possess knowledge about metadata development tools.
- Must be able to translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical specifications
- Must have a foundational understanding of data warehousing concepts such as relational modelling, star schema, basic knowledge of SQL query syntax, and fact vs. dimension tables
- Must be able to analyze the dependent relationships between objects in metadata physical, logical, and domain layers
- Must be able to interpret report design specs defined by business analysts and create a related metadata design document.
- Must be able to package metadata changes in XML format and transfer between development environments.
- Must be able to interpret any errors thrown by reporting tool
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong SQL expertise is mandatory
- Experience in Business Intelligence solutions development.
- Effective communications as a team member within the team and with clients/users, to recommend design configurations and optimal design
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (eg, Computer Science, Business), or equivalent experience.
- Experience with relational database technology such as SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, DB2, Informix, or Sybase
