Report Developer

Synergy Consulting Group is looking for a report developer for a six month contract position with a Fortune 500 company in Cleveland, OH.

In this position, you will be responsible for writing programs to maintain and control computer systems software for operating systems, networked systems, and database systems. Also, you will be responsible for creating the software platform, and then fine-tuning the final program after it has been made.

The salary for this position is around $40 per hour, depending on experience and skill set.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.
- Knowledge of computer development software, such as SQL, Java, J2EE, etc.
- Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
- Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
- Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve customer problems.
- Advise customer about, or perform, maintenance of software system.
- Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- High School Degree and Bachelors degree in computer science/relevant field or equivalent work experience required.
- 6 to 8 years experience required.
- 5+ years experience with Meta-Data Modeling and Report Development.
- 2+ years experience with OBIEE 11g RPD development and OBIEE report development
- 5+ years experience on Oracle, SQL Server or another RDBMS with ability to write moderately complex SQL statements
- Knowledge of PL/SQL (or TSQL) will be a plus
- Strong data analysis skills with ability to identity data patterns and data quality issues
- Proficiency in creating and deploying reports based on business requirements
- Highly motivated individual with ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of the full software development life cycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery.
