Repair Service Planner

Service Planner - 3 months - Crawley - Negotiable Rate

Purpose of the Job
To deliver, control, record and monitor the timely turn-around of Customer returned Goods for Repair and Calibration.

Principal Activities:-

-To accurately record all movements of repair/warranty products (from customer/to repair agent/from repair agent/to Stores).
-To plan, load and control all service & calibration rework orders (RWO) and rework purchase orders (RPO) for all aspects of the service & calibration process including in-house and sub-contract service centres.
-To meet contractual requirements, including turn-around times.
-To be the point of contact for the service & calibration process for internal customers.
-To update and maintain the Service Order database, including, Work Done Reports, closure of Works Orders and raising of Receipt & Issue Vouchers (RIV's).
-To authorise subcontract repair costs against the Service Cost Book and amend Rework Purchase Orders accordingly prior to repaired or calibrated goods being returned to Goods-In.
-To advise the Operational Services Manager of any deviation from the agreed process or schedule.
-To resolve associated queries for returned goods and repair & calibration invoices.
-To ensure all costs are correctly booked against the relevant RWO or RPO.
-To liaise with the in-house and sub-contract repairers to ensure agreed turn-around -times are met.
-In conjunction with the Stores-person, assist in the marshalling and identifying of customer returns.

Competence Requirements:-

The post holder will preferably have a good level of computer literacy and experience of Microsoft Office, MS Access Databases and the operation of computerised Business Management systems.
The post holder should have strong interpersonal skills, be a good team player and have the ability to communicate at all levels in the spoken and written form. A good outward appearance, self-motivation and the ability to work under pressure are vital, with good problem solving capabilities and attention to detail.
