Renewable Heating Technical Manager

TECHNICAL MANAGER (RENEWABLE HEATING) LONDON

3 month contract

£140-170 per day

We are looking for a Technical Manager with knowledge of heat meters, renewable heating systems, biomethane generation, biogas combustion, and/or characterisation of biomass fuel sources and their installation within heating systems.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

- Relevant science or engineering background, ideally with relevant qualifications
- Understanding and/or practical experience of renewable heat systems, bioenergy topics such as biomethane generation, biogas combustion, and/or characterisation of biomass fuel sources
- Proven ability to interpret and understand legislation and implement policy
- Expertise in building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders
- Proven ability to procure and manage external consultants
- Ability to support operational processes and/or production lines to KPIs including quality assurance and quality management

THE TECHNICAL MANAGER WILL:

- Acting as a key point of escalation to support other members of the team
- Providing technical expertise to resolve issues raised by applicants
- Leading input to other work areas on complex issues
- Line management of up to three members of staff

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for contributing to technical elements of the Renewable Heat Incentive, including making recommendations for application and periodic data approvals
- Maintaining and where appropriate, developing technical approaches that are in line with existing precedents and legal requirements.
- Leadership of an engaged team that has development and performance plans in place that are measurable and reviewed on a regular basis
- Line management, recruitment, support and development of staff as required in line with practices and procedures
