NETWORK ANALYST PHOENIX, AZ CONTRACT TO HIRE OPPORTUNITY

Currently we re looking for an onsite Tech with experience in network and desktop support. This Tech will work on site in Phoenix, AZ.

MUST HAVE A+/NETWORK+ CERTIFICATIONS.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the installation, modification, testing and servicing on data communications network equipment. Provides connectivity and network support to all network, services, company, and customers. Performs analysis of software, hardware, and network systems for processors, multiplexes, LAN/WAN communications and various transmission systems. Responds to assignments involving the installation, repair, and maintenance of network equipment.

LEVEL OVERVIEW

Normally receives general instructions for routine work. Provides technical support for networks and network-related activities. Participates in development of solutions to integrated data processing and communications. Requires 3-5 years of related work experience, or Bachelor's degree, technical training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SPECIALITY

Two years experience installing and maintaining networks, network system administration, NOS, Desktop Applications, Desktop Operating systems, and customer support required. Must possess A+ certification and multiple Tier I products.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Installs and upgrades hardware and software according to network design using defined procedures to establish parameters for configuration and testing.
- Diagnoses network problems that may involve combinations of hardware, software, power, and communications.
- Solves network software and hardware problems using testing tools and techniques.
- Assists in evaluating and planning network systems.
- Identifies system hardware and software application and operating system problems. This includes determining the most efficient and cost effective way to resolve problems.
- Performs necessary repairs on system that may include replacement of boards, changing Servers, loading and testing software applications, and restoring customer network operating systems.
- Assists/performs configuration and installation of network systems, including space allocation and network specifications.
- Performs remote installations of network gear (Cisco 800 series Routers, E2000 and E3200).
- Maintains the highest level of customer satisfaction by resolving all tangible problems or concerns and represents the company in a professional manner.
- Ensures the efficient utilization of company resources including identifying warranty issues.
- Escalates problems and issues to higher level networking personnel.
- Prepares portions of proposals and presentations recommending network configurations.
- Tracks equipment and working with couriers.
- Provides ticket updates and client communication.
- Supports configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco 831,871 and 881 Routers.
- Supports customer premise equipment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- A+ and Network+ certifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills with data carriers and LAN/WAN
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent documentation skills both for ticket updates and knowledge articles
- Ability to work independently in a group
- Ability to manage work load and assist others
