Reliability Supervisor

This position supports multiple operating areas. The Reliability Supervisor is responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient Real Time operation of the company's bulk electric power system by effectively assessing and utilizing available resources, monitoring overall system conditions and adhering to reliability criteria, including full compliance to NERC Standards. Will be responding to and monitoring various computer systems, responding to alarms and predicting future events. Interactions are with internal staff at power plants and marketing staff that set prices. This is a Real Time Operations Role that works a rotating shift in a 24x7x365 environment. Some travel will be required.

SKILLS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- NERC Operator Certification is required or must be obtained within 6 months.

EXPERIENCE:

- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills are essential for success in this position.
- Strong problem solving, planning and organization skills are required.
- This individual must be capable of dealing with stressful situations and making sound decisions in a timely manner.
- Significant technical experience and knowledge utilizing a variety of computer and communication systems.
- Knowledge of the bulk electric system is desirable.
- System Reliability experience within Utility Industry is required
- Nuclear/Military Background is helpful
