Reliability Engineer

Reliability department

Within the Regional Quality Centre Europe there are three departments responsible for providing services to the different business lines and fabs: Reliability, Process and Material Analysis, and Failure Analysis.

There is an open vacancy of Principal Reliability Engineer within Reliability Physics Group A&ID in the Reliability Department. This department is responsible for the qualification of new processes, packages and IC's produced by the client with respect to quality and reliability. The RQC-E Reliability department is also the competence centre on reliability qualification strategies, reliability failure modes en reliability testing.

Your Responsibilities:

De Principal Product Reliability Engineer is responsible for:

- Participate in development teams and here being responsible for implementing intrinsic reliability in new products, packages and processes.
- Execute a thorough risk-analysis on the development of complex product/process/package concepts based on FMEA analysis and translate this to a qualification strategy.
- Setup reliability qualification strategies for developments or changes based on risk analysis, knowledge of structural similarity rules and applicable quality specifications.
- Analyze and conclude on failures in reliability testing in cooperation with failure & material analysis and BL engineers
- Lead cross-department 8D/CAT and improvement teams in the area of reliability.

Your Profile:

University degree preferably PhD (Physics, Electronics or Chemistry)

Knowledge on IC reliability

In depth knowledge of IC technology

Expert knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, PDCA, DOE, 8D etc) and application

Analytical thinker, problem solver

Experienced in managing multisite, multidisciplinary project teams

Good organizational skills, project leader skills and high level of independence.

Creative and taking initiative

High drive and result oriented

Strong in communication, interaction, presentation and reporting.
