Reliability Engineer

RELIABILITY ENGINEER

This position provides reliability engineering design leadership for modality components and subsystems (Ultra Sound). The position works to identify and execute strategic quality engineering efforts in addition to driving cross-functional engagement of quality project initiatives. This role requires the interaction with other service and design engineering teams in order to ensure the product quality and reliability goals set forth by the business.

DUTIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

- Leading design for reliability goals for essential component and assembly details to explore multiple design options.
- Developing innovative designs of test fixtures to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability for our products.
- Providing guidance and generate test strategies to demonstrate product reliability.
- Test product sub-system reliability performance.
- Accountable to choose design concepts and solutions, components, tools and methods.
- Maintain and develop competence required for the job.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- BS on ME, EE or equivalent
- Min 5 years. experience in reliability
- Experience in the DFR process:

o Fmeas
o Analysis of field data
o Accelerated testing
o Halt/ess
o Reliability prediction
o Reliability modelling
o Reliability allocation
o Telcordia/aec qualification standards
o Physics of failure modelling

Desire to have the ASQ CRE certificate (certified reliability engineer by the American Society for Quality).
