Release Manager, Banking, English (Contract, Zurich)

For our client, one of the most recognisable banking brands worldwide, Swisslinx are looking for a Release Manager with software engineering experience for a new 6 month contract in Zurich with a strong possibility of extension.

RELEASE MANAGER, BANKING, ENGLISH (CONTRACT, ZURICH)

As the successful applicant, you will possess the following skills and experience:

- Master or bachelor degree in Information Technology or comparable education
- Extensive experience in release management (across different platforms)
- Extensive experience in environment management (infrastructure and management of test data environment with synthetisation requirements)
- Configuration- and deployment management skills (HOST, Java, Oracle)
- Preferred: additional software engineering skills (such as PL1, Java, Oracle, PL/SQL, Web-technologies (Webservices, XML, HTML, MQ etc.)
- Agile project approaches (scrum)
- English is a must, German is an advantage

In your position as Release Manager, your duties will include the following deliverables:

Release manager: coordinates releases and deployments of SBIP Decoupling program across Legacy platforms (HOST), emulator and compare modules and settlement obligation handler (Java application with Oracle database)

- The functionality delivered by SBIP Decoupling will be implemented end to end flows across platforms
- Therefore releases (in test and production) will encompass changes on different environments (HOST, Java platforms and potentially standard software packages)
- Role encompasses end to end release management across all impacted platforms
- Coordinate all related activities with the agile project teams of the implementation program and the provider of global shared components

Environment management: Provides development, test and production environments on DvSZ (development and test environments with synthetic data) and Swiss Platform (user acceptance testing and production)

- Assesses needs and requirements of program management and development teams
- Acts as SPOC on the program and ensures provision of technical infrastructure in cooperation with the infrastructure departments in Technical Services
- Ensures availability of required test data sets in cooperation with the development and test teams (incl. anonymised/synthetic data where needed, mock data etc.)
- Coordinate all related activities with the agile project teams of the implementation program

Configuration management:

- Coordinates configuration & deployment management function across platforms
- Coordinates code deployments from development to testing and production environments in cooperation with the deployment teams

Over time ability to manage a small team around the above described functions (onsite and offshore)
