JOB DESCRIPTION

- The individual will manage all aspects of their assigned release.
- This includes executing tasks in accordance with the SAP Release to Production methodology, processes and procedures for the ERP program to ensure all system changes are made in a controlled and compliant manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- The management and oversight of release related requirements and deliverables across a given ERP Regional Team to ensure only the highest quality changes are moved through the SAP landscape
- This role will collaborate with global and regional ERP leadership to provide input on SAP production release strategies, processes and timelines that are aligned with all SAP run plant and market businesses, Business Technology and Quality area strategies and objectives.
- This contractor will deliver on key enterprise process improvement projects and initiatives that increase the quality of each SAP change while reducing the overall system risk to avoid the adverse impact of any unplanned business interruptions.
- Works directly with various cross functional and cross organizational global teams to engage in identifying and executing long-term functional and technical process improvements throughout the organization.
- Works closely with ERP Release Management and Service Center Deliver Lead on significant release to production process or policy matters and provides functional and technical expertise in these areas.
- Works in a cross-BT collaborative manner in order to implement strategic direction relative to the ERP mission and helps drive implementation of robust business processes and tools to further that mission.

BUSINESS PROCESS

- Leads and manages SAP Global Release to Production processes and procedures for the SAP environment, which includes all release management aspects of planning and delivery for assigned release.
- Provides guidance and manages the global and regional ERP teams in all aspects of solution planning, development and release delivery.
- Provides key leadership in areas such as program management, project planning and deliverable management in cooperation with the other teams both within the ERP organization and across the Global Business Technology organization to ensure the highest quality solutions are delivered on time and on budget.
- Provides input on continuous improvement across major process or functional areas.
- Can direct multiple global teams engaged in formulating and recommending design solutions.
- Ensures that overall project and program objectives are met.
- Provides advanced leadership in the use of problem-solving/improvement tools and skills and expertise on improvement techniques throughout the organization.
- Will work within and learn the One BT Solution Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) and SAP Change Management process to ensure all SAP releases to production move in a controlled and compliant manner through the landscape and in accordance with all applicable policies and procedures.
- This will include collaboration with many aspects of the Solution Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) and Risk Management and Compliance (RM&C) teams.

STRATEGY & PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

- Collaborates with Release Management leadership to provide input on the development of strategies and vision of supported programs and functional areas.
- Can direct and manage multiple teams in the development of projects and initiatives that support and are consistent with the overall ERP vision.
- Ensures overall program objectives are met in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures and regulations.
- Oversees and directs the delivery of projects initiated within program.
- Fully experienced in establishing functional policies and procedures.
- Interprets, recommends and implements modifications to company-wide policies and procedures.

LEADERSHIP

- Can direct, manage and oversee project teams to achieve overall program initiative and objectives.
- Can manage large, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Has direct accountability for all projects based budgets and deadlines assigned to him/her.

QUALITY

- Directly responsible for quality and/or compliance of projects and programs developed and implemented to avoid unacceptable risk to the project, program or functional area.
- Provides process knowledge and best practice guidelines leveraged throughout the ERP program

CHANGE MANAGEMENT

- Reviews and implements training materials and other deliverables related to change management such as Training Plans and
- Training Materials for major projects.
- Manages and implements Change Management strategy for major projects or process improvement initiatives.
- Ensures execution of the Change Management plan in alignment with major projects or process improvement initiatives.

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

- BA/BS
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- 5+ years Project/Program Management experience
- Preferred PMP, and/or PgMP
- Individual needs to have a base understanding of what SAP is and generally how it works.
- At least 1 SAP life cycle implementation

- Be resourceful, proactive, anticipate needs & take initiative o interact with all levels of management
- Helpful: Microsoft Project Server experience (multiple connect projects)
- Helpful: Good understanding of Microsoft Excel data concepts such as: VLOOKUP & Pivot tables & MS- Access experience
- Helpful: Familiarity with software development life cycle projects & SAP/ERP projects
