Release Manager

Voor onze opdrachtgever in Den Haag zijn wij op zoek naar een Release/Implementation Manager. Het betreft een opdracht tot aan het eind van 28 februari met optie op verlenging.

Release implementation manager with Project Management skills

Tasks & responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of this challenging position concentrate around the management of the Online IT release cycles. This involves implementation of the releases from planning of the actual content through the design, development and testing phases of this content until the actual implementation on the live environment and the aftercare. Online is a very dynamic organization that requires strong management capabilities to control quality and progress of activities. We are looking for a person that can really 'drive' the release implementation ('aanjagers-mentaliteit").

In a highly dynamic Matrix organization you are expected to:
- Manage the release process, content and roadmap (release calendar)
- Optimize the release timelines & time to market
- Set up a release plan
- Act as single point of contact for release related matters
- Inform all stakeholders (internal and external) on release calendar and release milestones
- Meet challenging timelines and manage the milestones
- Plan, track, trace & chase the milestone related activities and (inter)dependencies
- Manage changes to the release calendar
- Continuously strive to identify and mitigate risks that jeopardize quality and/or timelines
- Coordinate the actual execution of releases (manage (inter)dependencies and risks)
- Coordinate the deployments of software packages across the different test environments
- Organize weekly and/or daily meetings to manage content, planning and progress
- Management Reporting (planning, scope, escalations, etc.).
- Manage the quality of the process (quality assurance) and identify areas for improvement by doing in depth reviews of the release cycles
- Escalate to senior management when needed
