Release Manager

*OUR CLIENT IS THE INDUSTRY LEADER IN SOFTWARE LOOKING FOR A RELEASE MANAGER TO JOIN THE PROGRAM MANAGEMENT TEAM BRINGING THE MAGIC OF INTERACTIVITY TO TELEVISION.*

As a Release Manager, you will be responsible for managing the team's delivery, including working with other teams to drive alignment on timelines and processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Managing project execution while coordinating with multiple partners across the company
- Effectively managing multiple platform targets simultaneously.
- Collaborating with program management, development and test teams to align project deliverables.
- Instigation and management of self-hosting programs.
- Collaboration with the Tools PM to create training programs.
- Negotiating a complex set of dependencies with partner teams
- Proactively identifying and addressing project risks.
- Ghostwriting internal communications for the team.
- Evaluating, scoping and setting priority for release criteria and product quality requirements.
- Championing company-wide quality standards as part of project execution.
- Communicating project status to stakeholders, partner teams and senior management.

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

- 5 or more years of professional experience, including at least 3 years as a Project Manager in software development
- TFS or similar project management software experience
- SharePoint experience
- Proven track record of delivering software products/services to market
- Proven ability to align activities to broader project goals
- Understanding of the release process and how to manage the needs of the various program management, Dev and Test teams to align product delivery
- B. Sc. in computer science or related discipline
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong drive and accountability

This contract position is expected to be up to 1 year in duration.
