Release Engineer/Manager

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a RELEASE ENGINEER/MANAGER to join a fast growing Financial client located in San Diego, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and coordinate application and infrastructure changes through QA and into production.
- Deploy changes to the QA environment.
- Work closely with the Data Center, Development, QA (Quality Assurance) and Needs Management teams in regards to all projects that move to production to ensure clear communication and confirmed approval of all production changes.
- Communicate with each group to ensure information regarding a change to Production or QA is understood by the business, as well as the team deploying the changes.
- Responsible for oversight on firm critical releases.
- Ensure compliancy of all audit processes and related documentation.
- Manage the installation order into each environment.
- Draft, review and coordinate the release plan for each release activity.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science (Preferred).
- Familiarity with build processes for .Net.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Five (5) plus years of Release experience in Web Software on enterprise application role.
- Strong knowledge of revision control systems or configuration management software such as Perforce, Clearcase, or CVS.
