RELEASE COORDINATOR

DURATION: 6-month contract (W2)

DEPARTMENT: Strategic Lifecycle Delivery

Remote is fine BUT candidates MUST BE in the Walnut Creek or Pasadena areas for training and meetings as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Provide consultation services to business partners seeking to deploy products in the Managed Workstation Environment. Recommend solutions which anticipate the future impact of changing business requirements.
- Plan and coordinate the successful engineering, testing and rollout of software, security patches, and related hardware into production distribution environments.
- Coordinate and lead the deployment of Critical or Vital Releases (CVR).
- Assess and coordinate client-impacting builds and application releases, based on Change Management Standards.
- Create Release Announcement Communications that are relevant and informative to both clients and business partners regarding the impact of planned changes and releases.
- Monitors the successes and defects of releases in order to develop action plans for improvement.
- Facilitate post-implementation review processes as an ongoing method of improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of application deployment and Change Management processes
- Familiarity with MSI Technology, as well as Application Streaming technology
- Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational, planning and coordination skills
- Good analytical skills
- Initiative, negotiation, ingenuity, multi-tasking
