We have an exciting opportunity for a Relationship Manager in Mid Market Sales.

The primary responsibility is to meet and exceed sales targets. To achieve this the job holder is required to transact telephone and occasional face to face sales, therefore a strong background in sales is essential to fulfill this role.

Once sales targets have been set by the business, the job holder is expected to deliver successfully against their individual target as part of the team. It is essential that the job holder ensures they comply with all internal corporate governance and financial authority limits for energy contract quotes.

The role requires flexible working arrangements and occasional travel to meet with customers which could include overnight stays.As well as representing the Company and the EDF Group at external events, the job holder may be required at times to cover for the Mid Market Sales Team Manager.

Principal Accountabilities

To be responsible for achieving sales targets of fixed price/duration electricity supply contracts.

To identify sales opportunities by matching customer/broker eeds to EDF Energy products and services and arranging for the appropriate sales or marketing contact within EDF Energy to manage and complete the sales activity

To proactively develop a portfolio and maximise opportunities and value.

To fully understand the portfolio business drivers and to feedback customer requirements to enable the business to develop innovative, profitable and sustainable solutions.

To support initiatives which improve customer satisfaction.

To maintain accurate and timely information in the appropriate B2B sales systems.

To adhere to all agreed policies and procedures ensuring the good governance of activities

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external business units in order to introduce or improve working practices, procedures and controls.

Also, to take ownership and deal effectively with any issues raised by customers or agency representatives.

To develop and maintain account plans for designated customers and prospects as determined by the business.

To assemble and lead virtual teams in order to achieve commercial objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

Detailed electricity industry experience

Proven successful sales experience including complex negotiation

Evidence of cross departmental working to achieve business goals

Must be customer focussed and action orientated to deliver an outstanding service to our customers.

Technical and Commercial Knowledge and skills

Must be able to effectively demonstrate commercial acumen and sound decision making

Must have sound knowledge of EDF Energy's core and value added products

An understanding of energy wholesale markets and risk management methodologies in order to work with customer to identify appropriate strategies for their determined level of risk

Thorough understanding of EDF Energy's processes and policies and their significance to the good governance of the business

Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
