I am looking for a Regulatory Reporting Manager for an initial 6 month contract for a role in Edinburgh. The daily rate is £450 per day and they are looking for someone to start ASAP.

Principle Accountabilities

- Owns the regulatory reporting for the Bank, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all submissions to the PRA/BoE and maintenance of existing high standards.
- Responsible for calculating the capital and liquidity positions of the Bank in accordance with existing and developing regulatory requirements.
- Analyse and monitor the Bank's capital position and liquidity on an ongoing basis to ensure it remains appropriate at all times.
- Accountable for the design and delivery of all internal reporting (Board, Asset & Liability Committee, Audit Committee etc) related to capital adequacy and liquidity, ensuring that the information presented is relevant and insightful.
- Responsible for maintenance and on-going development of reporting software solution to keep pace with developing regulatory requirements and business changes, including the implementation of new reporting modules (eg FINREP).
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining robust processes and controls in relation to regulatory reporting, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement.
- In conjunction with the Technical Developments and Change Managers, responsible for ensuring that the impact of new regulatory requirements and business changes (eg New Bank Programme) are implemented appropriately into BAU reporting.
- Work with the Treasury and Strategy and Planning teams to ensure that the Bank's forecast capital position is appropriate given the base capital position and properly reflects changes to the regulatory capital regime.
- Manage the Regulatory Reporting team effectively. Actively encourage training and development of team members and ensure there is sufficient knowledge transfer.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key business managers (eg Finance Operations, Treasury, Data Management, Strategy and Planning) in order to ease the flow of information between teams.
- Be responsible for indirect and direct tax compliance for the Bank, in conjunction with JS tax specialists. Complete and submit annual tax computations and quarterly VAT returns.

Skills, knowledge and experience

- Qualified accountant (likely to have at least 2 years PQE).
- Financial reporting experience and exposure to financial services (gained in industry or practice).
- Exposure to regulatory reporting in the banking or insurance sectors would be particularly valuable (but not essential).
- Ability to coach and develop a team.
- Well organised and able to prioritise workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
- Highly numerate, with excellent analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong PC skills, with an emphasis on Excel. Previous exposure to Oracle Financials, Oracle General Ledger, and Hyperion Essbase would be useful (but not essential).
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Excellent team player with ability to working closely with others to deliver results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
