Regulatory Reporting Analyst

Key responsibilities of Regulatory Finance team as follows:

- Daily and monthly calculation of regulatory capital, in accordance with the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) guidelines for a number of UK based regulated entities
- Prepare and submit all external returns toUKregulatory agencies
- Daily internal distribution to senior management of regulatory surplus capital position for key regulated entities
- Advice and guidance on all financial regulatory issues to various business and support groups
- Representation in theBACNew Product approval process, responsible for opining on all regulatory matters with regards financial regulation
- Representation on legal entity Risk Oversight Committees
- Regulatory Policy - engaged in all issues around regulatory reform working with Regulators, trade organisations and European Commission. Advising senior internal management as to potential impacts to businesses
- Co ordinate legal entity capital planning cycles and liaise with Regulatory agencies therein
- Principal point of contact with PRA for all issues with regards prudential supervision.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Responsible for calculation of regulatory capital requirement (main broker dealer in the EMEA region)
- The role gives an in-depth level of exposure to all products traded, making it very attractive for anyone looking to gain experience across the businesses
- Calculations are performed on a daily and month end basis
- Preparation of PRA Market Risk return and Large Exposure returns on a quarterly basis
- Assist in preparation of month end PRA returns and consolidated returns
- The role is heavily analytical and covers a wide range of asset classes and derivative types, including analysis of potential capital impact on new products/trades
- Develop and maintain working relationships with key personnel in Finance, Risk, Front Office and Technology to facilitate understanding of trade bookings and systems infrastructure
- Identify and implement improvements/efficiencies to the existing reporting process.

REQUIREMENTS:

- A proactive, enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal and analytical skills
- The successful candidate will show ability to understand regulatory rules quickly and communicate them to others clearly
- A self starter and someone who can work independently with minimal supervision
- Can work under tight deadline or demanding time pressure
- Candidate should have an interest in financial products and some experience or knowledge of them
- Qualified ACA, ACCA orCIMA
- Experience in risk management or regulatory reporting an advantage.
