Regulatory Project Manager - Finance

Our client has an immediate requirement for an experienced project accountant to join their team for a period of 3 months initially.

This role will provide support to the CFO and the Finance function.

Principal Accountabilities:

* Lead on finance aspects of a Bank restructuring project
* Review and interpretation of regulatory guidance issued by the PRA
* Preparation and filing of COREP regulatory returns
* Assisting the CFO with ad hoc finance projects

The role will also involve:

* Taking the lead on the finance aspects of the current Bank restructuring project. This will include updating budget models, attendance at senior manager implementation meetings and identification and quantification of potential cost savings.
* Assisting the CFO in the annual budget setting and corporate plan forecasting process
* Proactively reviewing and interpreting capital and liquidity reporting guidance issued by the PRA and establishing the potential impact that any revised reporting requirements will have on the Bank, then amending the reporting templates accordingly
* Monthly and quarterly preparation and submission of COREP regulatory reporting returns
* Input into and where required attendance at ALCO meetings
* Providing support to the CFO on other key projects impacting the Bank

Key Skills Required:

-Qualified Accountant

* Previous experience in financial services ideally
* Experience of budget setting and corporate plan process
* Knowledge of banking regulatory returns (COREP and FSA returns)
* Experience at a senior management level
* Good knowledge of Excel - V Look Ups - Pivot Tables
