NK367 REGULATORY MONITORING DESIGNER: BANKING, BRUSSELS
Background
You will be joining the bank's Finance Division, and more specifically the Supply Chain department. Within this department you will be contributing to the mission and objectives of the teams to:
- Assess the impact of new regulations on the selection of external parties ( suppliers ) used by the bank to receive specific services and/or to outsource own activities,
- Define and drive the implementation of the actions required to reach compliancy with these regulations,
- Set-up and monitor the tools, operational procedures and controls that are required to evidence this compliancy
ROLE:
The continuously increasing number and complexity of regulations is generating the need for recurrent amendment to and extensions of the technical environment (tools, data and reporting) used to track facts and figures needed to control the compliance to these regulations.
The current technical environment includes:
Several complex and interlinked Excel sheets that need to be updated by multiple users
Reference from the Excels to
- A large set of documents stored in several SharePoint databases
- Data managed in an Ariba (Saas) application
- Data managed in a ProcessUnity (Saas) application
- Data stored in an IBM Notes application
A series of predefined reports based on the above infrastructure
We are looking for a functional and technical analyst who will:
Assess the quality and adequacy of the above mentioned environment, from a technology, architecture, design and coding viewpoint;
Identify the weaknesses and possible improvements;
Define the target operating model, including master-slave data sources;
Validate the solution alternatives with the key business users and with the bank's technical authority and architecture teams;
Define the action plan to implement the agreed improvements;
Contribute to the implementation of the action plan.
PROFILE:
Required experience:
- Experienced (at least 5 years) application designer in a context similar to the position described here above
- Professional experience (at least 2 years) in the financial sector
- At ease with Datamodelling, processing and reporting activities and tools
- Fluent in English
Key skills:
- Competent in application architecture and design improvements
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Visio) and SharePoint
- Strong analytical skills
- Solid oral and written communication skills
- Good presentation skills, able to prepare and use convincing arguments
- Able to clearly explain complex technical matters to non-IT people
You must be an EU national to be considered for this role
