Regulatory Controller Reporting Manager

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our UK Regulatory Controllers team for an initial period of 3 months. This team is responsible for ensuring the business maintains adequate capital resources to meet the firm's risk profile.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

- Review of compliance with European financial regulations (eg CDDIV)for PRA and FCA regulated entities
- Submission of Regulatory Returns for Capital, Leverage, Liquidity and Asset Encumbrance obligations
- Reporting accurate and timely capital usage information to senior management and externally the PRA
- Facilitating capital efficiency of UK entities by working with the Front Office and regulators on trade approvals and the appropriate structuring of new businesses
- Responding to Front Office queries with regard to regulatory rules, calculations and capital allocation
- Reporting accurate and timely risk metrics to Global and EU Risk Committees

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Working with Front Office to Identify areas of potential RWA calculation efficiency/optimisation
- Performing impact analysis of global business restructuring and other areas of potential RWA reduction/optimisation
- Performing impact analysis of upcoming regulation changes on regulatory systems, calculations and procedures/controls
- Actively engaging in the firm's Large Transaction and Troika business/trade approval processes
- Represent Reg Controllers at New Product Approval committee meetings
- Providing key internal stakeholders with RWA and capital ratio forecasting information
- Working with Regulatory Policy, IT and Regulatory Controllers teams on implementation of new regulations
- Providing a technical support function to the wider Regulatory Controllers team
- Monitoring capital trends over the period, analysing it and providing meaningful commentary to key stake holders

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Strong Regulatory Capital experience (ideally in the Credit RWA area)
- Client focussed, positive can do attitude is essential due to constant interaction with Front Office personnel
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
- Comfortable in a rapidly changing regulatory environment
- Qualified or University degree with good MS excel skills
