Our client, a large Telco based in Berkshire is looking for a Regulatory and Strategy Manager to join their team on a contractual basis. As a Regulatory and Strategy manager you will help develop and implement their regulatory and business strategy. This will mean analysing complex regulatory and policy issues affecting their business, developing new propositions, recommending options to senior management, and engaging regularly with regulators, government and industry groups.

You will be part of the Legal, Commercial and Regulatory Affairs Team and will report to the Head of Economic Regulation. The overall function of the team is to support the companies' objective to be the home of mobile Internet through impacting major regulatory, policy and strategy issues. Key issues include the impact on their business of mobile spectrum auctions, industry consolidation, mobile termination rates, international roaming, net neutrality, and relationships with key business partners
You will have a senior role with a high internal and external profile.

Your role will be to develop and implement the companies' UK regulatory and public policy strategy, including:
*analysing complex regulatory and policy issues, through research, information gathering from inside and outside the business, and economic and financial analysis;
*developing new customer and business propositions;
*managing external advisers (including consultants, lawyers, modelling and technical specialists) to help analyse regulatory issues;
*advising senior management (including the CEO, COO, Comms Director, General Counsel, Strategy Director) on strategies for responding to regulatory and policy issues, and how regulatory issues should impact other key business decisions, such as pricing, product design or business investment;
*drafting regulatory responses and briefing notes to industry consultations to support business objectives;
*engaging with regulators, government, media and industry groups, presenting company position, finding out about regulatory and industry developments, and developing relationships with key stakeholders.

You will work with all parts of the business, including, legal, communications, technical, marketing, strategy and finance.
