Regulatory Analyst

A great position has just opened in one of the UK's top Investment Banks, based in Canary Wharf, on a contract basis.

The main function of this role is to ensure, retrospectively, that the EMIR & CFTC transaction report data we have sent out to the trade repository is complete and accurate.

This involves:

- Reviewing data received back from the trade repository
- Evaluation of data from our own internal systems
- Determination of which transactions should have been reported
- Comparison of what was reported versus what is held in our own systems
- Producing reports for consumption by Middle Office management
- Management and maintenance of transaction scenarios
- Liaison with Middle Office, TTRO Run the Bank ('TTRO RTB') and Change teams, and compliance.

MAIN DUTIES

- Develop a good understanding of EMIR and CFTC transaction reporting requirements
- Develop a sound understanding of the business activity of the various asset lines
- Combine understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and asset line activity to build a comprehensive view of EMIR transaction reporting
- Develop an understanding of the concepts of the firm's reporting infrastructure and how their operation impacts the data reported to the Global Trade Repository
- Understand the data enrichments performed by the firm's reporting infrastructure and the data hierarchy of the various reference data sources
- Understand the concept of the scenario based testing performed within ORC
- Analyse transaction report data received back from the GTR
- Identify transactions from Barclays source systems data that should and should not have been reported to the GTR
- Analyse completeness of transaction reporting data received back from the GTR compared to source system data and internal reporting hubs
